Sweet Sanctuary by Peggy Netcott< back to latest news

"Sweet Sanctuary"
I know a place of solace, where fecund gardens grow and peacocks strut the terraces as children come and go. The rain, the sun the morning mist a backdrop will provide and seasons of the year revolve before a dreamer's eyes. It is a spot that welcomes and offers harmony to those who look for peace and rest complete tranquility.

We all need a place where we can retreat from the problems of life, relax and return to the world refreshed. For me, this is Meudon Hotel at Mawnan Smith with its beautiful garden. The garden inspired me to write the above poem. Copyright:- Peggy Netcott 2003.
