What’s on in Cornwall

Meudon is the perfect oasis for the explorer, rich in natural beauty and endless places to visit. Coastal walks, gardens, castles, historic houses, galleries, secluded beaches, lesser known villages and artists’ colonies to mention but a few.

The Helford River is close to Meudon with wonderful hidden creeks and the inspiration for Daphne du Maurier’s novel Frenchman’s Creek.  A two minute drive from Meudon or a really dramatic walk across Rosemullion headland  passing the coves and quiet beaches of this beautiful seawater river estuary.

Stroll into the Ferry Boat Inn, Helford Passage, for a Cornish beer and Cornish Seafood or a home made pub classic.

Historic Duchy Oyster farm and shellfish are grown and harvested at the historic Duchy of Cornwall Oyster Farm (a short boat-ride up-river from the pub).  You can hire a day motor boat or a sailing boat to explore the river.  Take a ferry across the river to Helford village

North Helford is a wonderful base for walkers, sailors and gardeners.  Visit Trebah Gardens (1/2 mile), Glendurgan garden (3/4 mile) from Meudon.

Meudon offers FREE Golf during your stay, play a round of golf on the cliffs at Falmouth Golf Club and we offer a further six other fine Cornish courses with reduced green fees available at other times of the year
